Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) 2003 and the UK GDPR — that means non-essential cookies only fire after you click Accept all in our consent banner.
2. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent (PECR Reg. 6(4)(a)):
- Authentication: Supabase session cookies that keep you logged in to the admin area.
- Cart state: A single
jiils-cartentry in localStorage that remembers items you add before checkout. - Consent record:
jiils-cookie-consentstores your accept/reject decision so we don't show the banner repeatedly.
3. Analytics Cookies (Optional)
If you click Accept all, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular and how to improve the site. Until you accept, GA does not load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your decision at any time by clearing the jiils-cookie-consent entry from localStorage and reloading the page.
GA cookies are set by Google with a 13-month expiry and contain a randomised identifier — never your name or email. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Third-Party Cookies
- Stripe sets cookies on its checkout pages to handle payment securely. You only encounter these when you click Pay Now.
- YouTube / Vimeo may set cookies if we embed a video — we currently do not.
5. Managing Cookies
You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break login, checkout, or cart features.
