1. About Jiils

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website jiils.com and the buyback and resale services provided by Jiils ("we", "us", "our"), a business operating in London, United Kingdom.

By using our website or submitting a buyback request, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Buyback Service

• Quotes provided via our online form or WhatsApp are preliminary estimates, not binding offers.
• A final price is confirmed only after physical inspection of the device by our team.
• We reserve the right to amend or withdraw an offer if the item's actual condition materially differs from the description provided. You will be informed before any inspection proceeds.
• Quotes are valid for 48 hours from confirmation via WhatsApp.
• You must be the legal owner of the item, or have the owner's explicit permission to sell it.
• We do not knowingly buy stolen goods. If we have reasonable grounds to believe an item is stolen, we will report it to the Metropolitan Police.

3. Collection and Inspection

• Free collection is available within the M25, by appointment. Outside the M25, we arrange prepaid Royal Mail Special Delivery.
• You are responsible for backing up all data on your device before handover. We are not liable for data loss.
• We perform a NIST 800-88 compliant data wipe on every device received and issue a certificate by email.
• If the device fails our inspection or differs substantially from the agreed description, we will contact you with a revised offer or arrange return at our cost.

4. Payment

• Payment is made by UK Faster Payments bank transfer only.
• Bank transfers are typically received within 90 seconds of confirming the transaction.
• For transactions of £1,000 or above, we may require proof of identity in accordance with UK anti-money-laundering regulations.
• Once payment is made, the sale is final. We do not offer buybacks on items already paid for.

5. Shop Purchases (Resale)

Merchant of record: Jiils is the seller for every shop purchase made on this site. We own the inventory, we collect payment, we ship the goods, and we handle any returns or warranty claims. We are not a marketplace — there is no third-party seller behind any listing on jiils.com.

• All resale items are described accurately to the best of our knowledge, including condition grade.
• All prices shown are in GBP and include 20% UK VAT. Jiils is UK VAT-registered (GB 517 3711 02) on the Flat Rate Scheme — full VAT invoices showing net + VAT line are available on request for business buyers.
• Warranty: all devices carry a minimum 30-day functional warranty unless otherwise stated. Many items include a 90-day or 12-month warranty — see the individual listing.
• Faulty / not-as-described items: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a statutory right to a full refund within 30 days of receipt if the item does not match its description, is unsafe, or is not of satisfactory quality.
• Returns must be initiated by contacting us at jiils.admin@gmail.com within the relevant period.

6. Your Right to Cancel (Jiils policy: 30 days)

Jiils standard policy is 30 calendar days to cancel any order, on top of the 14 days required by UK law. The legal minimum is described below; in practice you have 30 days.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel any online purchase from a UK retailer within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Jiils extends this to 30 days as a customer-friendly policy.

• How to cancel: email jiils.admin@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp stating your order number and your wish to cancel.
• Returning the item: you must return the item within 14 days of cancelling. The item should be in the same condition as received, with all original accessories and packaging where possible.
• Return postage: the cost of return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described, in which case we cover it.
• Refund: we will refund the full price (including original delivery cost) within 14 days of receiving the item back. Refunds are issued via the original payment method.
• Reduction in value: we reserve the right to deduct from your refund if you have used the item beyond what is necessary to inspect it (e.g. removed seals, used the device extensively, caused damage).

This 14-day cancellation right is in addition to your other statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (faulty goods).

7. Acceptable Use

When using our website, you must not:

• Provide false or misleading information about items you wish to sell.
• Attempt to manipulate prices through technical means (e.g., tampering with API requests).
• Use automated systems to submit bulk quote requests without prior agreement.
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or damages our services or infrastructure.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on jiils.com — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Jiils and may not be reproduced without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jiils is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services. Our total liability in connection with any transaction shall not exceed the value of that transaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
